2Game's awesome March Madness Game Sale is now live! Last year, our March Madness Sale featured anime games at the forefront, but this time around, we've opted for a more general approach. New game sales will be coming in week after week, with deals unveiling all month long. You're definitely going to want to check in every so often!
Since the entire sale is going to span the entirety of March, not all deals will be active all the time. To keep you in the loop, we've assembled a short weekly overview that will give you a broad idea of what to expect. If you're looking for something specific from a particular publisher or developer, you've come to just the right place.
Depending on when you might be reading this, you're going to want to reference the currently ongoing week of our March Madness sale below, and then visit the main promotion page to grab the available games. Easy as pie!
Week 1 of our March Madness Sale features a number of deals that had gone live late in February, which means that some of these will be wrapping up as early as March 3rd, like the available Paradox Interactive titles. These include Cities in Motion and Prison Architect, so grab 'em while you can. Otherwise, Rockstar Games fans will have a field day with truly massive discounts on most of their repertoire.
March 3rd is the day to mark on your calendar for another reason: Bethesda, 505 Games, THQ Nordic, and more high-profile publishers will be putting their games on sale then. From Fallout 4 all the way to the Darksiders franchise, this is going to be a big one.
With the majority of deals from week 1 of our March Madness Game Sale still live, week 2 will be a bit of an upgrade still. Of note is the downright phenomenal Titan Quest re-launch and - for sure - the Crusader Kings franchise by Paradox Interactive.
Starting with Week 2, you can also find select titles from Ubisoft and Focus Home Interactive. Our favorite multiplayer mil-sim Insurgency: Sandstorm, for example, is now sitting at a lovely 50% off, while Ubisoft's previous flagship AC game - Odyssey - now has a whopping 75% discount!
We're not going to be skimpy with the indies, either. Courtesy of Team 17, you can expect Overcooked, Planet Alpha, Blasphemous, and a number of their other releases to appear on March 10th. On the same day, we're also going to bolster 505 and Capcom's game selection available on sale. If week 1 didn't serve you well in regard to these publishers, chances are that week 2 will have the electrolytes you crave.
Finally, if you're chasing after must-have classics, you're going to love the Aspyr titles coming in week 2. Borderlands and Civilization are just the start, we promise.
It's XCOM o'clock in week 3 of our March Madness Game Sale! 2K's phenomenal selection of titles will be going on sale, so expect Bioshock, Borderlands, Mafia, and virtually all of their awesome sports titles to be making an appearance between March 15th and 21st.
No less important are Bandai Namco's anime-themed offerings. Ranging from Dragon Ball's open-world Xenoverse entries all the way to chaotic fighting games such as Guilty Gear, week 3 is going to be anime gaming bonanza, even more so than week 1! There's also Kalypso and Fatshark to mention, with their Tropico and Vermintide releases, respectively.
Naturally, all of the above - and heaps more - will be discounted massively. We're talking price cuts of up to 90%, so keep your credit card handy!
By late March, deals will slowly start winding down, but that's only going to give more room for Paradox titles to shine their brightest! Featuring two of their flagship grand strategy franchises - Hearts of Iron and Europa Universalis - fans of the genre will have an opportunity to either get started with these games or to upgrade their Steam copies with some of the best DLC ever created.
Otherwise, PQube's GalGun series is going to go on deep sale as well, and previous deals such as those on XCOM and Warhammer: Vermintide content will still run until the 28th. More time to grab them, if you didn't have the opportunity to do so beforehand.
The very last deal that's going to be going live as part of this sale is Capcom's Resident Evil games, with the prices getting slashed by up to a whopping 77%. From Resi 0 all the way to Revelations - this will be a prime chance to upgrade your game library with a number of classic horror shooters. Don't worry too much about missing out on these, either, because the Resi discounts will run well into April, too.
Some of Kalypso's titles, such as Dungeons 2, will also be wrapping up on the 31st, and the same goes for Team 17's many Worms games. If those are what you're after, make sure to seal the deal by March 31st at the absolute latest. Discounts will be running out then!
We've only given you the broadest of strokes here, just so you get an idea of what to expect and when. Zero in on games and publishers you're interested in, and check out our full selection of March Madness deals and discounts to get the games you want. Of course, do expect more March Madness coverage as we go forward: the month has only just started.
In other news, we're pretty darn hyped about Mass Effect: Legendary Edition that's coming out in May. If that's too far out for your taste, and if you're chasing after your next hot-seat multiplayer experience, look no further than It Takes Two, which is slated to launch later this month. Otherwise, we're intrigued by the prospect of RE: Verse - the upcoming Resident Evil 8 multiplayer offshoot. In fact, it got us so interested that we explored a few older Resi multiplayer titles, too. Who knows what else Capcom might have in store later on.
Stay tuned for more good stuff on gaming - right here at 2Game.
