Football Manager 2022 Steam available this November

Of course, we did know that Football Manager 2022 would be coming out sometime late in 2021. FM developers - Sports Interactive - are on a tight schedule, so it's a pretty good thing that they run a tight ship, too. FM22 is set and primed to hit the stores on November 9th, which falls in line with some of our earlier predictions.

According to the sales pitch, "FM22 brings new and progressive ways to find your winning edge," though we're yet to hear any specifics as to what, exactly, this entire shindig may entail. Note that we do know that women's football will not be making its way into this franchise entry, though the feature is well underway for a future installment. "New features and game upgrades will drop in late September", says the announcement, "across FMFC and @FootballManager across social media." In other words - announcements are yet pending, though they are coming, and they are going to be substantial. Exciting!

What Next?

For all intents and purposes, Sports Interactive's announcement of FM22 is basically a formality. We knew that the game would be coming out well ahead of time, and the hype engines are only really starting to ramp up at this point. There's not all that much to talk about right now, though this is bound to change in the coming weeks and months.

One important tidbit we do know, though, is that both FM22 Mobile and FM22 Touch are coming out alongside the baseline Football Manager 2022 Steam experience. This means that - yes - FM22 will be available on Nintendo Switch. Exciting news indeed, because FM22 on the go is nothing to scoff at!
