It is stunning how much the Warhammer universe has expanded. What is even more stunning is that there are no signs of stopping.
Hey, we are not complaining, quite the contrary.

The latest one in the franchise is an expansion to the popular Total War: Warhammer II named The Hunter and The Beast.

Why you should play Total War: Warhammer II - The Hunter and The Beast?

The newest expansion introduces two additional Legendary Lords - Markus Wulfhart of Huntsmarshal’s Expedition and Nakai The Wanderer of the Spirit of the Jungle.
Other than badass names, both of them bring unique faction mechanics, skill-trees, quest-chains, campaign narrative and much more.

The two factions, as you might have already assumed, are at odds. Which side will you choose?

Markus Wulfhart is all about expending imperial interests, with his stature growing in the eyes of the Emperor.
It is not all about the ego, of course - he more Emperor Mandates you fulfill the more quality recruits will be available as well as other bonuses such as recruitment buildings.

The Hostility level is something to keep a close eye to as well. The more it grows with raids and military action, the more negative effects there will be. On the other hand, the high hostility level will cause a more frequent dispatch of reinforcements. It is up to you to choose the playstyle that fits you best.

Nakai The Wanderer is the beastly part of the expansion. He is heavily armored, skilled in both melee and weapon attacks and has high health to boot. Yeah, I'm picking him!
He is the centerpiece of any battle, which can be both an advantage and a chance to die.

Nakai's strategy is concentrated on developing settlement infrastructures, so much so that if the army falls, those infrastructures fall as well.>

Temples play major part in Nakai's strategy as well. You choose to which of the Old Ones will you dedicate the temple, which in return will bring you many perks which grow more powerful if you stick with a specific Old One, but be sure to keep it balanced.

I haven't even mentioned the campaigns, new units, and characters that come with each faction and other goodies that this expansion is packed with!

But is this game for you?
You might have noticed that there is a Total War right at the beginning of the game's title. The game is, indeed, part of the Total War series, and you might remember the relatively new Total War: Three Kingdoms that you might have already played.

Warhammer II retains the same gameplay from other Total War titles, being a mix of turn-based strategy and real-time tactics, only this time the game is enriched with Warhammer mythology.

If you're a fan of such genre, and the Warhammer setting, this one is a no brainer. However, if you never fancied yourself a strategy game, this one might turn you over. There is a reason Total War franchise keeps growing. Besides, if you prefer a different setting, you can always check other Total War games, and battle it out in Rome or test your might with Samurais.

Whichever one you choose, we guarantee you some quality gaming.
