Shortest Trip to Earth is, in fact, not short at all
Inspired primarily by the likes of FTL, Shortest Trip to Earth is a deep and immensely interesting space survival sim that shares a good number of its features with roguelikes! The core of the gameplay loop here centers around you attempting to get your crew back to Earth. Naturally, you're stuck in some awful backwater galaxy by default. Clawing your way back home is anything but fast. This game offers endless fun though!
Barotrauma for those who are afraid of watery depths
We had previously spoken words of praise about Barotrauma, but there's plenty more to be said about this awesome sidescrolling horror game. Stuck in a raggedy tub floating across the oceans of Europa, players need to work together to survive the horrors that pray on their submarine just outside the range of its floodlights.
It's fun, it's stressful, and it's entirely too scary when the pressure really gets going. For the best gameplay experience, you're going to want to have a crew of buds to play with, but Barotrauma offers an infinite supply of terror whenever you need it.
Fans of High Strategy cannot go wrong with Total War titles
Though vaguely structured, Total War games have always been all about replayability. No matter whether it's fantasy or history that interests you the most, Creative Assembly's pride and joy is a veritable fountain of infinitely playable strategy games that can hardly be put into words. Be warned, though, as Total War titles are somewhat hardcore compared to some other games on this list. Definitely worth a shot even for casual gamers, though. Even Henry Cavill approves!
Risk of Rain 2 as one of the best Endless Games on PC
As we said, this list may well be mostly high-end strategy games, but we've got a few aces up our sleeves. Risk of Rain 2 stands as a testament to that. Not only have the developers pulled off an incredibly successful perspective change with this game, but they're also extremely dedicated to their craft.
Currently sitting in Early Access, ROR2 is set to launch sometime this year, and we've got virtually no reason to believe it'll miss its projected launch window. As long as you keep experimenting with different characters, items, abilities, and builds, you'll have plenty of reasons to come back to this wonderful game.
If it's hardcore you want, check out Europa Universalis IV
Sure, Civilization might be pretty deep for genre newbies, and Total War does have its hardcore quirks, but few games can parry the sheer depth and complexity presented in Europa Universalis IV. Paradox Interactive remains at the forefront of high strategy gaming, as always, and we've got not one but two of their games featured in this infinite replayability article. More on that in a bit!
Do keep in mind that EUIV does seem quite impenetrable at first, and it definitely will take a fair few hours to come to grips with its many mechanics and gameplay elements if you're a complete newcomer. The time investment the game requires is well worth the trouble, however. A great addition to our list!

Age of Wonders: Planetfall presents a great alternative to Civilization
We've covered plenty of hardcore gaming options in this article, to be sure, but it only felt fair to conclude with something slightly less tasking. A compelling alternative to the likes of Civilization, Age of Wonders: Planetfall is a sci-fi 4X like you haven't played before.
A wide variety of innovative features come together to form a gameplay loop that's both familiar and new at the same time. Naturally, each run offers something different so you can play forever! Depending on what threats you come across on planetfall, your chosen civilization will evolve differently. Plenty to like with this one, we feel!
