Gearbox is nothing if not prolific with how they're handling Bl3 Guns, Love, and Tentacles legendaries. Having had our expectations for the expansion fulfilled (and then some), we set out to create yet another Legendaries weapons guide! That's right, what awaits below is a veritable Borderlands 3 Guns, Love, and Tentacles Legendary weapons overview!

You'll find out basically everything worth knowing about the new arsenal of legendaries right here. In short terms, of course, to keep things succinct and flowing! This includes drop locations and unique perks for the most part, which are the bread-and-butter of any self-respecting Borderlands 3 weapons guide.

In more general terms, the DLC is rather well-received, even if IGN did describe it as 'safe'. Essentially, it's more of Borderlands 3. Whether that's a pro or a con depends on you and you alone! Now that that's out of the way, let's take a look at all the awesome guns we can farm!

What are the Bl3 Guns, Love, and Tentacles Legendaries Assault Rifles?

There are five brand-new ARs present in the second DLC for Borderlands 3. They cover a wide variety of gun manufacturers and unique perk combos. Chances are that they'll be your bread-and-butter if you're a fan of variable and adaptive weaponry!

Seeryul Killur

• COV production
• Random world drop
• Incendiary rounds
• Kill grants increased damage, fire rate, and heat reduction. Stacks up to three times

Clairvoyance

• Jakobs production
• Cursehaven - Kritchy boss drop
• Cryo rounds
• Successful Critical Hits stack explosive projectiles on-target

Mutant

• Jakobs production (Infested)
• The Cankerwood - Fungal Gorger boss drop
• Neutral rounds
• Fully-automatic laser fire

Soulrender

• Dahl production
• Heart's Desire - Tom & Xam boss drop
• Random-rolled rounds
• When firing, spawns homing ghost projections that explode when hitting enemies

Stauros' Burn

• COV production
• The Cankerwood - Wendigo boss drop
• Incendiary rounds
• On breaking (COV signature mechanic), has a chance to trigger Combust: all shots are Critical Hits, generate less heat, and deal Incendiary damage to the user

Quite a wide variety of effects and niches there, right? The Mutant AR was of particular interest to us: it's a friggin' Jakobs that fires lasers in full-auto, after all!

How about some Legendary Sub-Machine Guns?

We're sorry to say that Guns, Love, and Tentacles introduces only two new SMGs to the front. Luckily, they're rather awesome to make up for that! Let's see what we've got.

Oldridian

• Hyperion production
• Random world drop
• Random-rolled rounds
• Switches elemental damage with every reload; Oldridian's projected shield reduces elemental damage by 20%

SF Force

• Maliwan production
• Skittermaw Basin - DJ Spinsmouth boss drop
• Random-rolled rounds + random-rolled rounds
• Simultaneously fires two piercing musical notes with rolled elemental effects; no charge-up time

For those who greatly enjoy weapons that straight-up look nice, the Oldridian SMG (pictured above) sports an awesome Damascus sheen on its heat diffusers. One of our own favorite looks in the game so far, we must admit! The effect is hardly anything to scoff at, though the RNG may be too much to bear in high-intensity situations.

Some of the Guns, Love, and Tentacles Legendary Pistols may surprise you

Featuring handguns and hand-cannons both, the vaguely-defined 'Pistol' weapon category is getting even weirder still in Love, Death, and Tentacles. There are five new legendary-tier pistols available in DLC #2, and we find ourselves in love with all of them!

Seventh Sense

• Jakobs production (Infested)
• The Cankerwood quest reward: Forgotten Answers
• Cryo rounds
• Reloading causes all spawned projectiles to home-in on the original target

Frozen Devil

• Maliwan production
• Negul Neshai - Kukuwajack boss drop
• Cryo rounds
• Fires a continuous laser-beam with no charge-up time; alt-fire produces Cryo spikes that deal bonus crit damage to enemies frozen by primary fire

Hydrafrost

• COV production
• Negul Neshai - Shiverous the Unscathed boss drop
• Cryo rounds
• After a kill, every 2nd shot deals 200% Shock/Incendiary damage for 6 seconds

Little Yeeti

• Jakobs production
• Random world drop (increased chance from the Skittermaw Basin Yeti boss)
• Neutral rounds
• Fires multiple projectiles at the same time; has a chance to produce heavy knockback on enemies

Love Drill

• Jakobs production
• Heart's Desire - Eleanor boss drop
• Neutral rounds
• 20% chance to deal double damage as Shock

Jakobs himself appears as one of the central figures of the Love, Death, and Tentacles DLC. With that in mind, it's only natural that the DLC would supply several different Jakobs hand-cannons to pick from! In the end, we couldn't settle for a single favorite, but it is worth mentioning that Little Yeeti has the highest theoretical DPS in the game! How's that for badass?

The Borderlands 3 DLC 2 Legendary Shotguns are no pushovers

Since we've only got Shotguns and Sniper rifles to burn through, you're about to see the extreme variety that's present in this DLC's extreme firearms. First, we'll tell you about the legendary-tier shotguns, and then about the sniper rifles! We usually run one of each in our loadout, but with guns such as these, we could hardly blame you if you wanted to specialize even further for close or long-range combat.

Anarchy

• Tediore production
• Random world drop
• Random-rolled rounds
• Every auto-reload or kill grants a 30% damage bonus and reduces accuracy, as well as granting stacks; stacks go up to x10

Flama Diddle

• Tediore production
• Random world drop
• Incendiary rounds
• Fires 9 rounds in a unique undulating pattern, consumes 1 shotgun ammo per shot

Insider

• Maliwan production (Infested)
• Random world drop
• Random-rolled rounds
• Fires clusters of bullets that travel together and pierce enemies, as well as dealing elemental AOE damage on contact; no charge-up time

Nothingness

• Maliwan production
• The Cankerwood - Gmork boss drop
• Random-rolled rounds
• Charge-up to produce an elemental beam with mini-explosions spawning around it

Shocker

• Torgue production
• Negul Neshai - Voltborn boss drop
• Shock rounds
• Fires a massive Shock orb that splits horizontally into three diverging mini-orbs

We must admit that Anarchy's gimmick surprised us the most! This Tediore emulates Gaige's own stack mechanics from Borderlands 2, which we didn't expect at all. It's great fun, and ramps up almost too quickly to keep track of! Ah, who are we even kidding? The faster - the merrier!

Finally, the Guns, Love, and Tentacles Legendary Snipers

Finally, the long-range option! Snipers aren't quite as heavily represented in Guns, Love, and Tentacles as Shotguns and ARs are, but we do get three badass new guns to play around with. One of them is, in fact, a fan-favorite returnee from Borderlands 2!

Cocky Bastard

• Jakobs production
• Portal Chest drop
• Neutral rounds
• On Critical Hit, deals Shock damage equivalent to Critical Hit damage

Skullmasher

• Jakobs production
• Portal Chest drop
• Neutral rounds
• Fires 5 rounds per shot at an extremely fast rate of fire

Unseen Threat

• Jakobs production
• Random world drop (increased chance from the Cursehaven Amach boss)
• Neutral rounds
• Landing a Critical hit spawns 3 homing bullets that seek out enemies nearby; if no enemies are present, homing bullets focus on the primary target

All Jakobs rifles, as you can see, but there's hardly anything we're missing out on here. In fact, Skullmasher straight-up combines a fast-firing shotgun archetype with that of a normal long-range rifle, and we're particularly fond of it.
