Black Myth: Wukong might be a straightforward, linear game, but that's not to say it's short by any meaningful measure. Quite the opposite, in fact, as we find most players will need over two dozen hours to beat all of Wukong's mainstream content: to say nothing of its many, many secrets and optional side-bosses.

The game is, generally, separated into unique, distinctive chapters that help you keep track of what's what and signify major jumps up in combat difficulty. Each chapter takes a different amount of time to complete, features a new biome, and has its own challenging final boss to take down. You'll learn all about that down below!

How Many Chapters are there in Black Myth: Wukong?

In total, there are six distinctive chapters to play through in Black Myth: Wukong. Here's the full list with some additional information listed:

• Chapter 1: Black Cloud, Red Fire - Located on the Black Wind Mountain, with the Black Bear Guai boss
• Chapter 2: Yellow Sand, Desolate Dusk - Located on the Yellow Wind Ridge, with the Yellow Wind Sage boss
• Chapter 3: White Snow, Ice Cold - Located in The New West, with the Yellowbrow boss
• Chapter 4: Rosy Cheeks, Gray Hair - Located in The Webbed Hollow, with the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master boss
• Chapter 5: Golden Child, Crimson Blood - Located in the Flaming Mountains, with the Red Boy & Yaksha King bosses
• Chapter 6 (no title) - Located in the Mount Huaguo, with the Stone Monkey & the Great Sage's Broken Shell bosses

Taking each of these final bosses is, effectively, the single most challenging thing you'll do in most of these Chapters. And before you ask, yes, the game does get way more punishing with each new Chapter. To say nothing of its New Game+ mode!

How Long to Complete Each Chapter in Wukong?

While we haven't yet fully beaten the game, so far it's taken us about five to six hours to complete each chapter. A tad longer in some cases, as we did end up struggling with the Yellowbrow a bit more than we anticipated. Generally, then, expect to spend upwards of 25 hours to complete the majority of Wukong's content.
