Mad Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot legendaries has been out for a bit now, and we've finally gotten to assembling an exhaustive Borderlands 3 Handsome Jackpot Legendary weapon list. Better yet, we've also got screenshots so that you know what you're getting into, as well as precise farm locations. Hunting for loot has never been this easy before! Well, you're gonna have to scratch that in some cases. If you've got any experience with Borderlands 3 so far, you know that some items just aren't easy to get. The game's first story DLC is no different, and you will definitely need to farm certain Legendary weapons exhaustively.
In fact, some of these items are so elusive that we haven't gotten 'em just yet. For that reason, we turned to the awesome Lootlemon website for phenomenal screenshots of said Handsome Jackpot Legendary weapons. Without further ado, let us show you how and where to get some of the best Legendaries in Borderlands 3!
The Lucky 7 hand cannon is a Jakobs firearm whose unique perk will always keep you on your toes.
No worries, we won't keep you in the dark far as buffs are concerned. They're quite substantial, we feel.
To get Lucky 7, you're going to have to farm the Scraptrap Prime boss encounter in The Compactor. Note, however, that sources tell us that Lucky 7 should be a random drop from any loot source. That means in Handsome Jackpot, mind. Alas, we weren't so lucky! Scraptrap Prime will be your best be, in our experience.
Craps hand cannon is the polar opposite of Lucky 7. This reliable firearm will keep you busy by having to steer clear from all the booms you'll be dishing out!
Since this is a Torgue firearm, this means dishing out explosions at a faster pace. That's a major yes in our book! Craps lets you blow things up at a really alarming pace. A big recommendation from us, especially if you manage a good roll.
To get Craps, you're going to want to visit the VIP Tower of Handsome Jackpot, and take down the Boss of the DLC's main story. The fight itself shouldn't be overly problematic, and Craps isn't that rare of a drop. Good luck though!
The second Torgue hand cannon of the DLC, Scoville, is one of our favorite drops. Not only is it completely badass, but it's also downright ridiculous. It shoots hot sauce bottles, for the love of Claptrap!
Thing is, getting Scoville is actually rather involved. You will need to find five Torgue hot sauce bottles strewn across the DLC's map. Here are their locations:
When that's all said and done, you will have completed a unique Crew Challenge, and Torgue will send over the Scoville via mail. Fun!
An infested reprisal of Borderlands 2's Slow Hand, Handsome Jackpot's version is a markedly different gun. Still Hyperion at heart, this monster will dish out extreme punishment at close range.
This unholy abomination fires high-velocity energy balls that deal splash damage, making it phenomenal at crowd control. Do keep away from the AoE location, though. This is one of those guns you need to find a range sweet spot for, as you need to be close enough for it to make a difference, but not enough to take damage from its effects.
To get Slow Hand, you're going to want to go to Impound Deluxe and complete the Mayor's Killer Look Challenge. To do so, take down the DEGEN-3 boss! At least there's no RNG here, right?
Another Hyperion reprisal, the Heart Breaker shotgun is perfect for the role of a close-range support weapon. Namely, not only does it reliably heal you, but it does so with heart.
From what we can tell, Heart Breaker is almost always a fast-firing weapon that will easily replenish your health in a pinch. It is, however, potentially difficult to control due to its recoil, and it won't do well at range.
If you wish to get Heart Breaker, visit the Compactor and find and destroy the Georgous Armada boss.
Ember's Purge is a Maliwan sub-machine gun that's an absolutely perfect pairing for the Krakatoa sniper rifle. You see, whereas the Krakatoa can spawn volcanoes, Ember's Purge does the same with magma pools. You heard that right. Magma pools.
Much as is the case with the Scoville, you're going to need to complete five different objectives to get Ember's Purge. Completing the Ember's Purge Crew Challenge requires of you to blow up five different statues strewn across the Handsome Jackpot.
Blowing up all of the above will prompt an email containing the Ember's Purge. Have fun!
This Moxxi-themed Hyperion SMG is a dream come true for those who love running-and-gunning to an extreme degree. Merely damaging enemies can trigger its unique perk, and the damage buff extends to other weapons, too!
On the topic of how to get Cheap Tips, you'll have to visit the final Boss in the VIP tower. Since you'll be farming a variety of other drops there, too, it's a good idea to wrap it all up in one fell swoop. Use Mayhem Mode to boost your drop chances!
Finally a gun for Dahl lovers! Word of warning, though: Boomer is no less wacky than the Scoville hand cannon, courtesy of its bullets being laced with - you've guessed it - hot sauce.
We're not sure about you, but getting a Dahl SMG that fires exploding rounds is pretty much a dream come true for us. This fast-firing bugger will keep each and every one of your enemies busy at close-range. You, too, as it drops from Scraptrap Prime at the Compactor!
The ION LASER may be a sub-machinegun far as weapon archetype goes, but this Maliwan beastie is anything but. Combining laser, shotgun, and SMG functionality, the ION LASER will allow you to dish out punishment at every range, while also retaining the emblematic Maliwan elemental switch.
The only way to get ION LASER is to visit the Spendopticon and hunt down the Evil Saint Lawrence boss. You're RNG-dependant far as this one goes, which may suck, depending on how lucky you are. If you manage to score an Incendiary/Corrosive combo, however, ION LASER will easily carry you through the entirety of Handsome Jackpot!
Of all the Handsome Jackpot Legendary weapons, this is our favorite. It's a good old tacticool Dahl sniper rifle, but what makes it special is its Atlas-like homing ammunition. Indeed, it seems we weren't wrong when we suggested that Gearbox might release more hybrid weaponry in the future
You will have to farm Freddie the Traitor in the VIP Tower to get AutoAime, but it's well worth the trouble, we feel. This weird sniper rifle usually rolls with crit-enhancing parts, and its Atlas-produced ammunition will eventually make you a real killing machine at any range. Depending on the scope, you might even be getting an awesome close-quarters gun!
There are three Legendary-tier rocket launchers, if we're counting all the Handsome Jackpot Legendary weapons, and two of them are Torgue. Nukem was a long-lost fan-favorite that's now making a triumphant return. Yet again, it's a proper beast. That is - if it hits what you're aiming at.
To get Nukem, you'll have to chase after the Junpai Goat Eater boss, which can be found in the Spendopticon area. We feel Nukem will be one of those guns you use for fun mostly because it's pretty impractical compared to other entries on this list.
Not that it can't be used effectively, but it's all too easy to suicide with Nukem, in our humble experience.
Creamer is the second returning Torgue rocket launcher, and the more useful of two we believe. Not only does its rocket divide into two projectiles after some distance, but the amount of damage dealt also heals you by a substantial margin! Awesome for those moments when enemies are grouped up.
Yet another boss drop, in order to get Creamer you'll need to look for Loco Chantelle in the VIP Tower area. Shouldn't be too hard, but you may chase after that perfect roll for some time.
This will potentially be your favorite rocket launcher, if you find yourself low on health a bit too often. A solid mainstay in one's inventory, if nothing else!
Now, this may well be the best Handsome Jackpot Legendary weapon we've discovered so far. A Vladof design at its core, the ION CANNON is, in fact, a literal laser rocket launcher. It even features a unique firing pattern, and far as we can tell, represents an entirely new weapon archetype in Borderlands 3.
After the charging period, ION CANNON positively demolishes whatever might be standing in front of you, and it goes without saying that this is massively fun. If you roll a solid increase in AoE damage on hit, you'll have a literal railgun in your hands. What's not to like?
The only way to get ION CANNON is to find the Fabricator Mk II boss in Jack's Secret. One thing that does worry us slightly is that this particular boss has a tendency to drop items outside the bounds of the level. This isn't a problem if you're not farming ION CANNON specifically, but going back to Lost Loot on Sanctuary after every kill isn't all that fun.
Since these are some of the most fun-to-use armaments in the game, that's a huge yes! In fact, we'd even go so far as to say that some of these Legendaries are an absolute must-haves in Borderlands 3. If you follow the guides we've prepared above, getting them should merely be a matter of time.
Honestly, that's as good as it gets in some cases. This is a looter-shooter, after all! Have fun hunting for the Handsome Jackpot Legendary weapons!
