Quite a long time has passed since Rocksteady Studios, the good people behind the Arkham series of Batman games, released their last flagship product. Indeed, Batman: Arkham Knight first came out way back in 2015! What has Rocksteady been doing since? Enter Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which is essentially precisely what it says on the tin.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an exciting continuation of Rocksteady's Arkham series that is way different from anything the studio had done before. And, before you ask, yes, Suicide Squad does take place in the same universe as the Arkham games do, which is decidedly not the case with last year's Gotham Knights. Funny how this whole schtick worked out, no?
Whatever the case may be, down below we've prepared a comprehensive summary of everything we know about the Suicide Squad game on PC at this time. If you're interested in enjoying a snazzy solo or co-op adventure featuring King Shark, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, and Deadshot, this is the place to be.

As you can probably already tell, Kill the Justice League doesn't really mince around with its subject matter. Due to release on February 2, 2024, the Suicide Squad game pits Amanda Waller and her impromptu team of wannabe hero-killers - aided by none other than Wonder Woman herself - with the job of taking down the Justice League.
This, indeed, includes Superman and Flash, among many others! There's going to be a grand total of four playable characters on release, each of them delivering their own brand of violent injustice.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a live-service solo and co-op multiplayer shooter that tosses the ultimate band of wannabes into an open-world battle-torn Metropolis. Rocksteady Studios means to keep Metropolis going for long after the game comes out, courtesy of its live-service nature, by incorporating in-game events, evolving setpieces, and free new playable villains over the course of its lifetime.
All in all, this Justice League Suicide Squad match-up looks remarkably promising, combining free-roaming exploration with exciting combat systems and verticality.

To circle back onto our playable characters (aka the Suicide Squad proper), Kill the Justice League will release with a grand total of four squad member options:
This bundle of twats will make for the ultimate band to go after Brainiac's mind-wiped Justice League legends, after having been forced into an impossible mission by none other than Amanda Waller. All in good fun, right?
The notable bit to keep in mind here is that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is fairly similar to Warframe in concept. The game is ostensibly a third-person hack 'n' slasher and shooter, but each squad member brings their own tools, traversal mechanics, gadgets, and weapons into the fray.
Alongside the abilities, players will also get to equip a humongous arsenal of melee weapons and firearms, as well as armour pieces. In the end, the game is going to be like a weird, snazzy mix of The Division 2 and Warframe, and we're here for it.
If all of that sounds pretty dang great, but you're unsure if your gaming PC is up to the task, we've got some good news, actually. While it's certainly true that you'll need a reasonably solid PC to play Kill the Justice League, Rocksteady Studios claims that you won't need something out of this world to keep it going. Here are the minimum and recommended system specs (as of 11/21/23), so see for yourself!
As you can see, these aren't wholly out of whack at all. Even though the RTX 2080 requirement might sound a tad steep at a glance, remember that the GPU is now two generations old. Still, it should have no trouble running Suicide Squad according to the devs. A good sign of things to come, all in all.

Now it's time to discuss the elephant in the room: the fact that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a live-service offering. Naturally, not everyone's going to be thrilled by this development, as Rocksteady is making a big change compared to anything the studio had tackled before. Yet, this really is the only way to keep Suicide Squad's version of Metropolis interesting and evolving over a long period of time.
"Post-launch," says the announcement from Rocksteady Studios, "players can expect a continuously evolving Metropolis with free new playable villains, environments, weapons, in-game events, and more, all included with the purchase of the base game."
In other words, for the price of the base Suicide Squad game you'll be getting way more content than there will be on day one, making this a remarkable investment for those who need a game they'll play for months on end.
For those who are already all-in on the idea of Kill the Justice League, we've got even more good news in tow. You can immediately sign up for the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, which unleashes even more mayhem in one go.
For one, you'll receive special early access to the game, starting on January 30, 2024. On top of that, you'll also receive all of the following goodies:

The big question that remains, then, is whether Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will receive all the high marks. It being a live-service game means it's jumping into the fray with the likes of Warframe, Destiny 2, and even Genshin Impact, and the competition is fierce in this niche.
Yet, this is Rocksteady we're talking about here. We've got no reason to believe that they won't get the ball rolling properly, so we eagerly anticipate early February to get the project going. Stay tuned!
