We've established by now that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is going to place a surprising amount of emphasis on customization and progression. This makes sense, too: the developer - Saber Interactive - cut its teeth on the relatively underground but undeniably awesome WWZ: Aftermath, and many of that game's systems are being adapted and expanded upon here.
Take the weapons, for example: here, too, will players have the opportunity to continuously upgrade the vast Imperial arsenal as they progress through Space Marine 2's post-campaign content. Down below, we've explained all the ins and outs of the system, as well as providing a list of all the confirmed weapons we've seen so far!

First things first, then. Here's the full list of Astartes weapons we've seen in Space Marine 2 so far:
That's way more than you'd expect, right? Here's the kicker, though: each and every one of these weapons comes with a full Perk Tree and visual progression system that denotes your mastery of it in the game. Add the comprehensive Wargear system into the mix (i.e. grenades, empowered kit, etc.) and you've got one hell of a combat sandbox right there on day one.
Now, the thing to keep in mind here is that all of this might not come into play until after you've already cleared the campaign. Specifically, the game has a huge "Strike" system that opens up after the main story is done and dusted, where players take control over their own custom-made Astartes rather than the Ultramarine Titus. So, we'll have to wait and see whether we'll be able to level and customize our weapons even as Titus, or if all of the above won't be relevant until after the main campaign, in the Operations Mode.
