While Chapter 2 is where Black Myth: Wukong really begins to take off in terms of buildcrafting and, indeed, the sheer scope of the game, it all really comes to a head in Chapter 3 proper. This is where every single item in your build begins to matter, and where you finally unlock a significant amount of various tools, gizmos, and gadgets to help you along your journey.
Inevitably, this means players are under immediate onslaught from a huge number of exciting new items and combat options, and it's so, so easy to get overwhelmed. To that end, we've prepared a shortlist of all the most important items that have helped our journey through the snow peaks of Chapter 3. Find them below!

It should come as no surprise that our choice to go all-in on stunlocking and Focus-spamming enemies paid off tremendously over the course of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 both. Simply by investing more and more Sparks into abilities that make heavy attacks more powerful and generally more potent, we were able to brute force our way through a massive chunk of this chapter.
In fact, we'd be hard-pressed to say that Chapter 3 might be a tad easier than Chapter 2 with all the tools you've got at your disposal, if you go with a build similar to our own. So, we didn't think it would pay off to massively rethink our strategy. Instead, we opted to add a bit of pizazz via Thunder damage and laying off Immobilize by a fair margin.
This is because Chapter 3 gives you your first proper Immobilize alternative - the Ring of Fire - and this ability will prove instrumental in a number of counters immediately after you unlock it. Ring of Fire will (after a few upgrades) heal you, massively increase your Stamina and Focus-earning, and help you protect from any Chill effects coming your way. Further, it's a compelling choice for enemies that break Immobilization quickly, and you'll find more than a few of those in this here Chapter. Here's our shortlist of must-have kit:
A fair number of items in this list focus on dishing out crit damage. That's because our staff of choice for Chapter 3 - the Kang-Jin Staff - innately comes with a crit chance boon. Stack Beast Buddha, Tiger Tally, and a fully maxed-out Wrathful Escalation ability and you'll be smacking crits left and right.
Naturally, investing Sparks into Martial Arts and Smash Stance is your best chance to keep things simple and effective, but do look into Ring of Fire upgrades, too. Those pay dividends. Further, investing a few Sparks into Decoy and Duplicate abilities plays into the Ochre Battlerobe's baseline passives. They helped us a huge deal in some dangerous fights, and you should consider using them from Chapter 3 onwards if you hadn't done so yet.
