Ghostrunner 2 Swords: Get Every Sword Today!

Ghostrunner 2's launched with excellent review scores and critical acclaim, and as we've been playing the game ourselves, we cannot recommend it enough. For collectors, however, Ghostrunner 2 swords are a logical evolution of everything that the original title stood for. Not only is there a bunch of awesome new cyber-katanas to go after, but you also get an actual arsenal in the mission hub, featuring all the blades you've collected so far!

We don't know about you, but that's a strong motivator for us. And, as was the case with the first game, we've set up a comprehensive unlocking/collection guide this time around as well!

Over the next couple of sections, we'll guide you on your path to collect every single Ghostrunner 2 sword you can. And, with the game's rogue-lite mode in tow, you'll have plenty of reasons to keep coming back to it for more. Let's begin!

Full Ghostrunner 2 Swords Guide - Collect 'em All

First things first, we need to set up a baseline of expectations: Ghostrunner 2 is a bigger game than its predecessor, after all. A fair bit bigger, if we might say so. The game contains a grand total of:

It's a lovely assortment of goodies, then, and one that many will be interested in grabbing to complete their collections! As for ourselves, however, we're interested specifically in the swords, and that's what we'll be focusing on. We're going to cover this mission-by-mission, so just look up whichever interests you the most, and you're golden.

Uninvited Guests - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

In this mission, you're going to be given your very first sword: TESA_JACk074. This blade is impossible to miss, as it's picked up during a cutscene, and it's going to be your trusty basic sword if you don't end up picking any other weapons.

The second blade, the Owl, is found right after the very first Hidden Challenge pop-up. Follow the path until you come across a room where you can swing over poles to proceed. Look down and notice the pipes running under you, instead of doing that. To your right, you'll notice that the pipes lead to a destructible ventilation shaft. Take a hop and a skip, and there's your sword.

TESA_BLOODBATH04 is the third collectible weapon in this mission. After you wrap up the fight in the big room, look for a neon sign that you can grapple down onto the floor. Do so and simply follow the route that opens up.

Will Bushido Allow It - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

There's only one collectible sword in this mission, The Limb of Metal, and it's awarded to you after you kill Ahriman the Destroyer. Simple and straightforward.

Setting the Stage - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

The Undoer can be found in the massive room with a switch to the right side of it. After doing so, go back and jump to the left side of the room There'll be an enemy nearby that you need to climb to get to. Take them down and then slide back to your previous location, where you'll now notice a sword glowing on the rightmost wall.

Behind the Curtain - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

This mission has two energy-laden swords for you to collect. You'll find The Internal Static in the room where you need to activate two switches to the right of a large gate. Do so, then return to the room to discover a breakable wall nearby. Destroy it, trigger the same switches again, and there's your snazzy new blade.

The Electric Dream can be found later on, during one of the rapid-fire puzzles that teach you how to use your new doppelganger/invisibility skill. As you progress through the level, you'll come across a puzzle door, and after opening it, keep to the right until you enter a massive room with a beam of light. Set down a doppelganger and follow the path. Then, once you reach the second beam of light, throw a shuriken at the switch that's opened up, and the sword is yours.

Licking the Wound - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

The Rat is going to be visible from behind bars to your right as you progress through the level. Once you spot it, walk to the end of the path and just look up. Use your grapple to climb upwards and simply follow the ducts until you've got the sword.

The Creator, on the other hand, is a tad more hard to get. Reach the room with two shielded enemies, and look for a destructible wall in the middle of it. Destroy it and follow the secret path towards the left side until you reach a lever. Then, destroy the wall on the opposite side to make your way through.

Winds of the Desolate - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

MIL/CUT_2713-SNOW will be found after you have gotten off your bike for the second time. Cut all the nearby enemies down and then follow the road upwards until you reach two more cyborgs. Deal with them, then turn around towards where you cam from and run along the wall. Then, slide under the oncoming fence, and this sweet tech-knife will be yours.

The aforementioned blade's tacticool brother, MIL/CUT_2713-CAMO, you'll find a bit later. Complete the wall-riding sequence with your bike and the subsequent parkour section on foot until you spot a collectible along the way. That's the sword, of course, but it'll be unreachable until you come across a room with a shield ball inside. Turn around instead of entering and swing around until you reach a Tempest box. Use your ability to open up the path, and you're golden.

Pillars of Creation - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

After reaching the second buying kiosk, turn around and follow the road back on your bike to get the MIL/CUT_2713-JAWS. Instead of going the way you came, though, take the tunnel on the right, the one that leads towards the huge skyscraper. Climb it and look towards a nearby pipe. You'll be able to jump over to it if you use the Motorik Overheat Ultimate!

Can Anyone Hear Me - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

Getting the Void Ripper is easy, but you will need to keep an eye out for a particular encounter. Be on the lookout for a special robot you can pull down to follow the leap boards directly upwards. Once you spot it, take the path on the right, instead, and follow it until you reach the unlockable.

Elevator Maintenance - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

The Serpent can be found as you go through the riding rails in this level. When you first hit the ground after some rail-riding, look for a stack of yellow crates nearby. Clamber up on them and follow the path onwards, and there you go.

Too Close To The Sun - Collectible Ghostrunner 2 Swords

TESA_VAPOR074 can be found as you progress normally through the level, until you find a red light that only allows you to pass through with the shadow form active. Kill the enemy that's protecting a platform nearby, and then reach its location to get the final blade.

How to Equip New Blades/Arms in Ghostrunner 2?

Now that you've got a few snazzy new swords under your belt, you're probably wondering where on earth might you be able to equip them, in the first place. Well, you don't even need to visit the mid-mission HUB to do so: simply hit 'TAB' on your keyboard to open the customization menu, and then head on over to the 'Armory' screen, where all your skins will be available. These load in momentarily, too, so you can switch them around however you feel is right.

Oh, and don't forget: hit 'X' on your keyboard to twirl your swords around while moving or inspect them while standing still!
