A boss is only considered to be a true boss in Elden Ring if it has a health-bar, and the game's slightly confusing handling of the subject matter is what's led to conflicting reports on how many boss fights there are in the game. The 165/238 number is as correct as it gets, however, until Shadow of the Erdtree comes out.
