In more ways than not, Elden Ring has got a little something for every gamer under the sun. Nowhere is this more apparent than when taking into account the game's immaculate arsenal of weapons. 'How many weapons in Elden Ring?', I hear you ask. Let's find out!

We've previously discussed how Elden Ring comes with 33 different categories of weapons (!), but failed to disclose just how many unique armaments there are. Well, that's what we're here to discuss today. Heads up, if you were hoping to hear that you'll have hundreds of weapons to choose from, we've got good news for you!

How Many Weapons in Elden Ring?

Elden Ring has a grand total of 308 unique weapons spread across 33 weapon categories! This includes curved swords, melee weapons, colossal weapons, heavy thrusting swords, light greatswords, straight swords, reverse hand swords, throwing blades, and many other weapons. Each weapon has its own weapon stats, with a minimum attribute level required to make use of its Weapon Skill, and unique Weapon Skills attached to each weapon.

Note, that this is only the base game we're talking about. The number of Elden Ring weapons and weapon types is expanded upon even further with the incredible Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which comes with over 100 all-new weapons in 8 entirely new categories!

We promised it'd boggle the mind, didn't we?

Do keep in mind, of course, that the job of actually collecting all of these hundreds of armaments is no mean feat. It'll take you dozens upon dozens upon dozens of hours to collect them all, and you'll need to do so across multiple New Game+ playthroughs, too. Still, it's as good an achievement as any, and it's something yours truly has been doing for quite a while now!

As far as weapon upgrading goes, however, there is a complication to keep in mind: you can only max out up to 13 regular weapons and 8 unique weapons per single playthrough.

That's because there's a limited amount of resources available in the Lands Between at the start of the game, and you'll need to keep moving upwards in difficulty to be able to continue upgrading stuff however you please.
