Tekken 8 is now officially out, and that means now's the time to pick it up if you're looking to get ahead of the curve. 2Game is more than happy to help you with that, naturally, as we've got a suite of early bird discounts ready to go right this instant - find them below! Setting all of that aside, though, our previous in-depth look at Tekken 8 revealed some major changes to how the game plays, compared to older Tekken titles. That's what we're here to talk about.
Over the next couple of sections, we'll give you all the information you need to pick Tekken 8 up on PC quickly, easily, and efficiently. Better yet, we've got some key tips and tricks we're happy to share. All in order to help you have the smoothest, most satisfying early combat game experience yet. No dawdling, then: get ready for the next battle!
First things first, we need to establish the fact that Tekken 8 is a phenomenal franchise entry. Because it is! As per IGN, Eurogamer, and PC Gamer's own reviews, we're looking at one of the best Tekken games of all time, bar none. What's really important to mention here, though, is just how good of a basic onboarding feature set Tekken 8 has by default. Simply immersing yourself in these features is going to be a huge part of our own recommendations, so don't ignore what the game's trying to teach you. We'll explain all of this as we go, so just scroll down!
Your first checkpoint should, we believe, be the official started video from Bandai Namco, as hosted by none other than TheMainManSWE. This showpiece gives you all the information you need to be able to pick up Tekken 8 and enjoy the game for what it is. There are some really handy tips in there, too, though it's worth pointing out that this video won't be enough for you to start dominating your fights right off the bat. Instead, think of it as of a healthy primer that sets the stage for all the other, more technically useful tools!

We cannot sing enough praise for Tekken 8's Arcade Quest feature. What initially seems like a cutesy parry to Street Fighter 6's World Tour is, in fact, a phenomenally deep tutorial system that teaches the player how each disparate Tekken combat mechanic works in practice. It really is an impressive take on improving a player's learning curve, as the system adapts to the fighter you're using and slowly builds you up into a veritable fighting powerhouse.

Tekken 8's Training Mode is a joy to behold for fighting game fans. This is a full-fledged combat sandbox that allows you to fine-tune every single aspect of a fight to set up exactly the thing you need to improve. Whether it's repeating combat situations to improve your reaction times, or perhaps simply repeating combos over and over again until they're second nature, Training Mode is the be-all, end-all for becoming the ultimate Tekken fighter.

Virtually everyone agrees: Tekken 8's Special Mode is a delightfully useful newbie fighting tool for those who need it. While some may have been worried ahead of release that Special Mode might make pulling off long combos and specialized moves too easy, this is not the case at all. What Special Mode does, essentially, is that it allows you to bind certain moves to particular button presses: the entire move input, more specifically. This does two things:
You're not going to use Special Mode after you've already got oodles of experience with Tekken 8. Early on, though, it's going to be an amazing lifeline as you come to grips with your favorite characters and moves.

The most advanced of all of Tekken 8's onboarding tools is Replay Mode, we think. This is one of the most feature-rich and utilitarian replay features ever seen in a fighting game, and it allows you to do a massive list of things:
Replay Mode, specifically, is one of the most powerful tools available in Tekken 8, bar none. Its usefulness doesn't stop when you break off from the newcomer status, either, as it'll help you grow as a combatant for times to come. We cannot recommend it enough, if you're looking to improve as much as possible.

By now, you should have a pretty good idea of how to handle yourself in Tekken 8. If nothing else, the game's delightful tutorial system will have you fighting in no time whatsoever, and from that point on, it's only a matter of learning combos and sprucing up your abilities in open combat. There's merit in checking out the older games in the series too, however. Here at 2Game, we've got some truly steep discounts for all the mainline PC Tekken games!
Grab them while you can and square up! The Mishima Zaibatsu won't take itself down, now will it? Have fun with the newest fighting game evolution, and don't forget to make use of all the tips and tricks we've shared in the sections prior!
