Football Manager 25 is the single most notable push onwards tech and features-wise that Sports Interactive has done in over a decade now. We've talked about what that means, exactly, in a separate article, but today we're all about those hardware requirements. Spoiler: they're a massive step up from those of FM24.

Whereas Football Manager 24 could very well run on a week-old slice of pizza if need be, this is no longer the case with Football Manager 25. The game is now built on top of Unity engine, for starters, and this means a massive uplift in system requirements  across the board, regardless of graphics and whatever else. Here's what we know so far.

Football Manager 25 PC Hardware Requirements - Full Overview

So, the important bit to keep in mind here is that, compared to most other modern games, Football Manager 2025 is still not massively hardware-intensive. That being said, FM's flexibility and extremely lightweight operation meant it would work on just about any old machine under the sun, and the game is seemingly losing that feature this year.

Here are the full, official system specs sourced from Steam on October 1st, 2024.

Minimum System Specs - 1080p Low graphics rendering target

Recommended System Specs - 1080p High graphics rendering target

For context, the previous version of Football Manager called for a genuinely ancient Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4 gigs of RAM at most, and the exceedingly humble GeForce 9600M GT. It was easily one of the most low-spec friendly modern games, and it very well did run on virtually any old PC.

This is quite unprecedented, then. On the graphics side of things, the recommended RTX 2060 is a whopping 5,000% faster than the 9600M GT. Now, this doesn't mean that the game is going to be 5,000% harder to run, but it does set the stage for a comprehensive set of performance testing.

We'll get on that as soon as we have a copy of the game ready, but in the interim, we hope we've given you something to think about here. Good luck, folks!
