It was the only thing missing from the incredible Hogwarts Legacy experience: The magical broomstick sport of Quidditch!
While it might have been wise to leave out this high-speed wizarding game to focus on other elements and ensure the polished RPG we all loved, there's no denying its absence was felt. You only have to glance at the message boards at the time to see fans speculating about when a Quidditch-focused sequel or DLC would drop. Everyone wanted to experience Quidditch with the graphics of Hogwarts Legacy!

Not only that, but you will also receive the Firebolt Supreme Broom Skin as a pre-order bonus.
What are you waiting for?!
Described by critics as Mario Strikers on a broomstick, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is as high-octane and chaotic as you could hope for. With cinematic visuals, customizable characters, and legendary arena settings, you'll feel like you've entered the world of Hogwarts with this exciting and immersive EA sports for Quidditch!
All games are 6v6, with bots taking up at least 3 roles per team depending on whether you're playing on your own or co-op with up to 2 others. In multiplayer, you'll be able to swap between your two chosen roles at any point in a match, with the bot taking over the remaining role. If you play solo, you'll be able to swap between any of your teammates at will.
Basically, what this means is that whether you fancy yourself as a Potter or Krum-style figure, as a Chaser, Seeker, Beater, or Keeper, you'll be able to try out the unique gameplay styles of each Quidditch position. I'm telling you, this is the real deal!
Similar to other sports games, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions features a Career Mode in which you can work your way to the top as you polish up on your skills.
Begin with backyard battles in the Weasley’s home, competing in the Burrow Cup as you pick up the basics. Then work your way up to increasingly large and prestigious competitions such as the Hogwarts House Quidditch Cup, all the way up to the Quidditch World Cup! There's even a brand new Triwizard Quidditch Cup that's just been revealed! This is particularly exciting as it will be the first time the Durmstrang Institute or the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic from Harry potter have been brought to life. Again, you can enter these competitions on your own, or online with up to 2 other players.
As you work your way through Career Mode, you'll pick up skill points you can use to improve stats and unlock special moves. In this way you'll be able to upgrade your tackles as a Chaser; create more Bludger damage as a Beater; or boost your energy as a Seeker. There will also be daily challenges, unlockable rewards, career upgrades and more to look out for.
If you prefer more control over each game, Exhibition Mode allows you to set your teams, map, and difficulty as you enter fantasy Quidditch scenarios based on what you've unlocked. For example, if you fancy playing as Ravenclaw in the snow, here's your chance!
Of course, you can also compete in fierce online PvP battles against other competitors.
You'll be pleased to know you can join forces with players on different devices, as Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions supports cross-platform play between all supported platforms.
The game further supports cross progression, so if you switch devices you won't lose your progress. This is particularly important once you've worked up the ranks in Career Mode!

One of the best things about Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions being a standalone game as opposed to part of Hogwarts Legacy, is that you can play as your favorite Harry Potter characters!
Indeed, with the opportunity to customize your whole team, you can pick your own robes, broom tails, hairstyles etc to create unique characters. Alterantively, you can populate your team with the familiar faces you know from the Wizarding World! You can even attribute emotes for victory celebrations, and fine-tune your Chaser's goal VFX. It does sound very cool.
As well as the cosmetics, you can use skill points to upgrade your broom to improve max speed, durability, manoeuvrability and drift. I mean, it's cool to look cool, but ultimately Quidditch is all about the broom and if you want to win, you need the best!
Talking of brooms, you can expect to find the classic Nimbus and Firebolt brands. Then there are other titles that have piqued our interest. Brands with names such as Stormrider and Shooting Star. Intriguing, eh?!
Just when you think things couldn't get better, you find out the Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions system requirements are so low you can even play the game on your Steam Deck! Take a look for yourself:
I mean, we knew the game would be of a lower-spec than Hogwarts Legacy; the titles are incomparable when it comes to scope. But, with stunning graphics and high-speed action, we're still feeling pretty chuffed about what these hardware requirements mean for accessibility.
