As Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is coming out on the full spectrum of modern, cutting-edge gaming platforms, there's one more point of contention to keep in mind as we near the game's September release date. Specifically, whether it might be available on the Xbox Game Pass gaming subscription service!

Xbox Game Pass is one of the best value propositions if you just want to game - whether on PC or on the Xbox consoles - and so it's only natural that some of us would be hoping that Space Marine 2 makes its way onto the service. Will it, though?

Is Space Marine 2 going to be on Game Pass?

So far, the developer Saber Interactive and the publisher Focus Entertainment haven't said anything on whether Space Marine 2 would be accessible via Game Pass. Officially, then, we just do not know what's up on this front.

Unofficially, however, we do have an inkling of an idea of what might end up being the case. Specifically, Xbox now seems somewhat less eager of featuring multiplatform games on the Game Pass, and since Space Marine 2 is coming out on PlayStation 5, this would track with the going theory.

It's also worth keeping in mind that there are two different versions of Game Pass active under the Xbox umbrella. Notably, there's the console Game Pass and the PC Game Pass, and not all games are available on both of these services. There's also the cloud streaming sub-division present, so it's entirely possible that even if Space Marine 2 comes out on Game Pass, it might not be on the specific GP that you're gunning for.
