The importance of wanton destruction cannot be overstated. In a LEGO game, duh. Just about every little tidbit of scenery that looks like it might be desctructible - you should go ham on it. The reason why is simple: you need as many bricks, nubs, and pieces as humanly possible. This time around, your brick score has a practical purpose, you see. You'll be using these as a currency to upgrade and unlock your character roster. Therefore, you absolutely need all the LEGO bricks you can get your fingerless LEGO graspers on.
In LEGO Skywalker Saga, characters aren't just randomly awarded a set of skills and weapons. Instead, each character falls into one of the several key archetypes that define their feature-set. These classes are the following:
The majority of them is rather self-explanatory, but the important bit about them is that some story missions will, for example, need a Bounty Hunter's skill set. Others, on the other hand, may require you to equip an Astromech Droid. Since each class includes dozens of unique characters that unlock as you go, you'll still be able to pick and choose which characters you want to use. Just be mindful of your mission objectives!
The open-world is a crucial element of The Skywalker Saga's LEGO rendition. Not only do story missions finally partially take place in it, but it's also where you'll access hundreds of unique side missions, puzzles, activities, mini-games, and other assorted side content. A particularly noteworthy feature of it is that you can talk to random NPCs you come across, and oftentimes, they'll reveal Rumors. While some characters are unlocked as you progress through the campaign and complete missions, others need a more involved way of looking at things. Rumors will reveal what you need to do in these cases, making them positively invaluable for completionists and character hunters.
Kyber Bricks are the bread and butter of LEGO Star Wars' character class progression system. As we said before, all characters that belong to, say, the Bounty Hunter class, share unique abilities and features. The way a Bounty Hunter might access their unique Shock Grenade ability, though, is to unlock it with a Kyber Bricks. These high-end rewards are incredibly useful if you want to fill out your skill-set, then, and you'll need to complete missions, side-jobs, and environmental puzzles to get them.
Cheat codes! No, not that kind - The Skywalker Saga is hardly as difficult as Elden Ring, after all. LEGO games' cheat codes are a mainstay feature that basically unlocks joke features and funny characters that might otherwise be inaccessible. You may want to use these as soon as you can, as doing so will unlock a whole bunch of cool new content you could have fun with. Here's the list of (known) Skywalker Saga cheat codes at this time!
Without a doubt, side content is the bread and butter of The LEGO Skywalker Saga. While the main campaign mode is pretty stellar on its own, players should take note of the dozens upon dozens of side-missions, puzzles, and encounters found off the beaten path, too. This will basically lead to all other The Skywalker Saga tips making themselves apparent, as you'll unlock new characters, abilities, and functionality at a faster pace by engaging with non-mandatory missions.
Building on top of the previous tip, the availability of Galaxy Free Play mode is the single most important feature of the game if you ask us. While it's entirely possible to finish the game's main campaign in 10-12 hours if you rush ahead, it may be wiser for players to engage with the open-world modes and worlds along the way, too. Doing so will equip you with a greater array of tools and, inevitably, make the rest of the game more fun to play around with! Alternatively, Galaxy Free Play is also readily accessible for post-campaign exploration, and the content it unlocks ought to make mainline campaign missions more replayable as well.
No doubt about it: The Skywalker Saga is massive. Even without the post-launch DLC, we're looking at nine movies' worth of content, about 400 playable characters, almost 30 explorable areas, a whole spaceship combat mode, and more extra content than one could shake a lightsaber at. It's really easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer breadth of this game, but don't let it get to you! Just about every unlock in a LEGO game is optional, and it's up to you to decide what you want to focus on at any given moment. Just take the game at a pace that you find enjoyable, and you'll be having fun in no time whatsoever!
As you can see, we're positively thrilled with what TT Games have accomplished here. This is still a classic Traveler's Tales LEGO game through and through, make no mistake. It's just that it's more comprehensive than virtually anything they had done before, and it's got deeper gameplay systems still. Quite the thing to wrap your mind around!

And, naturally, we've got plenty more planned out for the near and far future. With hundreds upon hundreds of unlockable characters, ships, and abilities, it's clear that TT Games went all-out this time around. Stick with us over the coming weeks and months, and we'll help you get the most out of your game(s)!
