It's finally happening, folks: Monster Hunter Wilds is getting its very own Open Beta Test at last! It should come as no surprise at all that Wilds is one of the most hotly anticipated games of the year. Slated to hit the stores early in 2025, though, there's still much we don't know about the game, and performance is a huge consideration, specifically.

Excellent news, then, that we can announce a proper kinda-sorta timed demo for Monster Hunter Wilds, right? PC players will have an opportunity to check how Wilds runs on their rigs very, very soon. Monster Hunter Wilds - Open Beta Test Details

Monster Hunter Wilds' Open Beta Test is due to go live on PC/Steam on Friday, November 1st, at 03:00 GMT. We'll have the whole weekend to test the game out on as many different hardware configurations as possible (and, naturally, to play it), as the OBT runs out on November 4th.

PlayStation 5 owners, in particular, will have even more opportunity to play the game, as the special PS5 OBT for Monster Hunter Wilds will be going up on Tuesday, October 29 and will run until Thursday, October 31. This gives PS5 players not one but two chances to get a sense if this game is a good fit for them. Not bad, right?

Naturally, we'll be on top of the OBT ourselves, and we'll have a comprehensive performance and content overview ready for you as soon as possible. For that, and lots more, you're going to want to stay tuned to 2Game.

In the interim, we highly recommend you read up on our other Wilds content:
