Tales of Arise Release Times on PC

Tales of Arise is coming out on September 10, which is in about two weeks' time at the time of writing this article. While there's really no hard info on what, exactly, are the Tales of Arise release times, we expect that Bandai Namco will make the appropriate announcements as we draw closer to the launch day.

For what it's worth, we do know that many games launch on Steam at 7 PM CEST. We've included the appropriate conversion to a few global timezones for posterity's sake - keep a pinch of salt at hand, and stay tuned for updates, though.

Aside from hitting the PC market via Steam, Tales of Arise is also coming out on a wide variety of other platforms. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X players will get to enjoy the game on their console of choice, too.

Tales of Arise PC Limited Edition Content

Since the game is still some time out, we've got the opportunity to discuss pre-order goodies well ahead of their potential unavailability. As of right now, we've got no information on whether the Pre-Order Bonus Pack will stay fully exclusive to pre-purchase owners, or if it's going to be released as a standalone DLC later on.

If you're even remotely interested in snagging the extra cosmetics - and they are neat, for what it's worth - you may want to consider getting Tales of Arise ahead of its release times.

As for the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game, those shouldn't be an issue in and of themselves. They'll be freely available post-launch, and they come with a wealth of digital goodies to make the increase in price worth your while. Find a comprehensive overview of all content each edition gets you in the following section.

Pre-Order Bonus Pack

First, we've got a number of exclusive cosmetic options for the two protagonists:

Then, there's the cooking stuff. Yes - Tales of Arise will have a prominent traversal/exploration component (even though it's not an open-world game), and cooking and camping will both be relevant for the experience. Getting the Pre-Order Bonus Pack awards you with a bunch of Food Items to use while cooking, and some exclusive Food Recipes, to boot:

The Pre-Order Bonus Pack is going to be available for all players who place a pre-purchase on Tales of Arise, priced at €59.99 by default.

Deluxe Edition Content

Tales of Arise Deluxe Edition basically includes a bunch of extra Travel Items and a full set of Premium Costumes for all relevant characters:

Tales of Arise Deluxe Edition is priced at €79.99 by default. If you get it before September 10, you can also snag the Pre-Order Bonus Pack at no additional cost.

Ultimate Edition Content

Finally, Tales of Arise Ultimate Edition essentially includes everything there is to include. Not only will you get all the content from the Deluxe Edition, but you'll also secure a huge array of exclusive extra costumes and a number of other items:

So... if customization matters a great deal to you, Tales of Arise Ultimate Edition may well be the way to go. Of course, it's got a hefty price-point to go with all the extra stuff, sitting at €89.99 by default.

Tales of Arise PC System Requirements

tales-of-arise-release-times4

As you've surely noticed by now, Tales of Arise is a remarkably beautiful game. Significantly more so than any previous Tales offering, pretty as they might've been. The key to such a drastic increase in visual fidelity lies in Unreal Engine 4, which serves as the backbone for Tales of Arise.

While Unreal Engine 4 is no low-spec powerhouse, it does still keep the game's PC system requirements on a reasonable level. We also fully expect the game to have a wealth of performance scaling options, which are bound to help prospective players with lower-specced machines. Find more details on the minimum and recommended hardware below.

Minimum System Requirements

Recommended System Requirements

Generally speaking, we've not 100% positive that the game will be as scalable as some UE4 games turn out to be. The GTX 970 system requirement might sound completely out-of-date, as that's a relatively weak GPU nowadays, but do keep in mind that the target requirements might be aiming for a stable 30 FPS, rather than 60.

There's no way to know, either way, so we'll need to wait a little bit longer before we can report on what's what.

Gameplay Overview & Extra Info

Just to set up a brief overview on what is Tales of Arise in the first place, it's basically a high-profile ARPG that's set and primed to continue the Tales franchise. Namely, Arise is going to be the seventeenth mainline entry in the series, though it doesn't seem to actually be directly related to any of its predecessors.

What makes Tales of Arise particularly important, though, is that it's designed to revitalize the franchise, in a way. It seems to be taking its inspiration from Tales of Graces (2009), as it's going to focus on a more dynamic and action-oriented sort of gameplay than most fans might be used to. Lots of care has been taken to establish a fun cooperation system between the player and the supporting characters, as they'll now be able to interact with either of the two main protagonists of the game - Alphen and Shionne.

Overall, we're looking at a deep and involved ARPG with a penchant for exploring the interrelationships between characters. Of course, there's going to be a world-saving narrative somewhere in there, but that's not necessarily the primary driver. This alone was enough to intrigue us, and we're sure many of you will feel similarly.

Tales of Arise will not have a multiplayer mode, keep in mind. It's designed from the bottom-up as a dedicated solo gaming experience, and the developers seem to have been firm on this decision. We don't mind either way, as the game looks brilliant from everything we've seen so far.

Closing Thoughts

Well, that's about all we've got to share about Tales of Arise on the technical side of things! If you've gone through this article, you've got more than a solid idea of what to keep an eye out for, and we're sure Bandai Namco will offer more information about the game's release times and whatnot in the coming days.

So - stay tuned. We'll update this article with new data as we get it, and who knows, you may even have a chance to snag a sweet discount or two as we go!
