Hallow's Eve is almost upon us, and so is the Little Hope PC release: the latest of the Dark Pictures Anthology stories. Talk about perfect timing, eh? Nothing quite like a fresh batch of scares on the spookiest night of the year.

Some of you may recall, but it's been just over a year since the first Dark Pictures Anthology story came out: Man of Medan. Its main draw? The fact that it's a multiplayer horror adventure, and one that's designed for multiple varied playthroughs that depend heavily on the players' decisions. Groundbreaking, but that's par the course for the team that made Until Dawn.

Now, the story of the mysterious Curator continues: in Little Hope. Naturally, the unique multiplayer support for up to 6 players locally is coming back, too. We won't outright say that The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is a must-play this Halloween, but it may very well be. Here, we'll tell you why we're as excited about this game as we are, and what important info you, too, should keep in mind if you're intrigued.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope PC Release Times

Little Hope PC Release Date is slated for 30th of October, but chances are that you're interested in the exact release times on Steam, too. Though there's been no firm official announcement on the specific launch window, Steam did offer a tentative timeslot for us to do some math around.

As per our calculations, we're looking at the following Little Hope release times:

Again, these are merely tentative release times. We'll keep track of the official channels for more info, and update this section accordingly.

Little Hope Cast & Characters

As previously established in Man of Medan, The Dark Pictures Anthology uses real-world talent to build its characters around. Though the majority of the cast is different this time around, we're still looking at some really impressive talent regardless. Here are the names we've managed to make out so far:

These are all major actors, mind. Pip Torrens, for example, needs no further explanation, while Mr. Ivanovici some might recognize as the voice of Talos Rucker from Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. All in all, the voice-work is bound to be a proper treat, as per usual.

We're sure they'll fit perfectly well in their respective roles of creepy storytellers, frightened college students and professors, and - who knows - a monster or two.

Dark Pictures: Little Hope Demo: Is there one?

If you were hoping to play a Little Hope Demo to see how the game might pan out, we're sorry to say that there is no Demo available at this time. You could always grab the previous Dark Picture: Man of Medan, of course. Not a demo per se, but it sure does demonstrate what you ought to expect out of Little Hope.

Bonus Pre-Order Content in Little Hope

What's particularly curious is that there is some amount of bonus pre-order content for this particular Dark Picture.

The so-called Curator's Cut comes with all-new scenes and some alternative, optional encounters that play out from different characters' perspectives than they do by default. Players who place a pre-order will be provided access to this bonus content. That said, the specific wording used - exclusive early access - does make it clear that this isn't necessarily going to stay exclusive for long.

In fact, in the case of Man of Medan, the Curator's Cut content was functionally the same, and it unlocked for free once you beat the game for the first time. Odds are, we're looking at the same sort of system in Little Hope.

Why Little Hope PC Release is the perfect way to spend your Halloween!

"Abandoned and all alone," says the official pitch for Little Hope, "four college students and their teacher become stranded in an isolated town miles from anywhere." The basic premise is that our unlikely heroes will become embroiled in Little Hope's horrific history, and with a Silent Hill-esque fog blocking their way, they'll need to come up with an escape plan. Fast.

This month is, for the most part, all wrapped up in horror awesomeness here at 2Game. To get a sense of what's what, all you need to do is to check out our humongous Halloween Game Sale. Outside of that, though, we found ourselves enjoying the new Ring of Pain dungeon crawler. We also went through our lists of favorite games and created two neat game lists you'll want to check out when you get the chance: best horror games in 2020, and the best scary non-horror games.

Thing is, most of these games aren't all that new, and Ring of Pain's narrative is as obfuscated as it could possibly get. Not that this is a bad thing, mind, it's just that it's hardly cinematic.

This is where the Little Hope PC release comes in: the game offers a one-of-a-kind multiplayer horror experience the likes of which you'll find nowhere else. Better still, this chapter of Dark Pictures is clearly inspired by the likes of Silent Hill. We're huge fans of that, and we're sure your inner horror aficionado is, too.

Don't dawdle: check out The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope today, and get ready for the ultimate in Halloween horror gaming. And hey, if you'd like to get started early on, grab Man of Medan while you're at it!
