Seriously, the number of gamers and non-gamers alike, I've met who are obsessed with this series is beyond me. It's one of those totally immersive sand box sims that can take over your life. In a good way! Who would have known?
I mean, as a simulator 100 percent focussed on industrial farming, I'm not sure I would have predicted the popularity of the series. That is, until I first gave Farming Simulator 19 on PC a go, and never looked back. (POV: Stick with the PC versions as opposed to the Mobile games!) Fast forward a few years, and I'm as excited as everyone else about this new release.

Farming Simulator 25 is due to be released on November 12th, 2024. Whether or not that is soon enough for you remains to be seen. However, with many of us fearing that FS 23 was to be the last in the series, I for one figure I can hold out a few months!
Regarding the announcement video, it's interesting to see that GIANTS Software have opted for a cinematic trailer to whet our appetite for the new sandbox. I like it! Well, I like the scene it sets anyway.
What stands out from the trailer is the awesome graphics (thanks to the new engine); as well as the new environments (I love the idea of farming in Asia!); new crops (we get to harvest rice!); new machines (needed for the rice); and of course the expected upgraded features to bring Farming Simulator to the modern day.
What's not to be excited about? Even, or perhaps I should say especially, for a city-dweller like me!
I mean, that's the beauty of video games, right? It's a medium through which us urban folk (as an example) can immerse ourselves in farming on an industrial scale, and find out we're pretty good at it!
What I'm getting at is, Farming Simulator is a franchise for everyone, if you like sandbox sims that is. Either you've found that out already, or you are about to!
